Endres Manufacturing Announces Sam Ballweg as President of Endres Manufacturing Company

Waunakee, WI

Endres Manufacturing Company is proud to announce that as of January 1, 2013 Sam Ballweg will become the new President of Endres Manufacturing Company. Sam is in the fourth generation of the Endres Family. Statistically, slightly less than 2% of family businesses make it to the fourth generation.

Endres Manufacturing Company is a steel fabrication business located in Waunakee, WI. They supply structural steel and miscellaneous metals to construction projects all over Wisconsin. They also supply shoreline equipment to lakes all over the Madison area.

Endres Manufacturing Company is proud of its 87-year history of growth, quality work, and timely service, and especially proud of their dedicated employees who strive to satisfy their customers. Lawrence Endres Sr. started the business in 1926. In 1948 his son, Larry, took over management as his father's health deteriorated with Parkinson's Disease.  In 1990 Ken Ballweg, Larry's son-in-law, took over management, and now in 2013 Sam Ballweg will become president.  Ken, at Endres since 1965, will remain as CEO, but some of his daily responsibilities are being transitioned to Sam and others within the company. Sam began preparing for his role as president by earning a business degree from Boston College and then working outside the family business for other organizations before returning to Endres in 2004.

Endres has worked hard to make this transition gradual and seamless.  Sam will be assuming full responsibility as President as of January 1st, 2013.  Although the titles have changed, the commitment to customers, employees, and the community will remain the same.  Endres looks forward to a long and prosperous future and for the fifth generation to continue to build on a firm Endres foundation.
