Endres
Manufacturing Company is a proud member of the U.S. Green
Building Council. We are well aware that the trend in the
construction industry is to "Go Green". We strive to be the
green steel fabricator of choice. When bidding a project
attempting to be LEED Certified, we want you to think of Endres
as a partner who understands what is required of us and what we
can do to help get the points needed to reach your certification
level.
Steel is the
ultimate green building
material. Steel is the most recycled material on the planet,
it’s energy-efficient, and it’s cost-effective over the life of
the product. At Endres we have made a commitment to the
environment and have made improvements within our own shop to
reduce energy use and waste.
As far as LEED
Certification goes, Endres Manufacturing has prepared the
following information to help calculate recycled content and
regionally acquired products as they relate to LEED
Accreditation for new construction Version 2.2 Credits 4.1, 4.2,
5.1 and 5.2.
Recycled
Content – LEED V. 2.2 Credit 4.1 and 4.2.
Endres
Manufacturing products contain between 82-89% recycled content
per formula = (% post-consumer + ½ % pre-consumer)
Regional
Materials – LEED V. 2.2 Credit 5.1 and 5.2.
Roughly 90
percent of our products are produced in mills within 500 miles
of our facility and your project. Due to the large percentage
of “Scrap/Recycled Steel” in our products generally the raw
material source is close by our mills. Specific product
information may be attained from our representatives.
We take great
pride in our contribution to the LEED initiative and believe our
knowledge and process will help with your project in achieving
the maximum amount of points available. Please call or contact
us with any questions.
