Endres Manufacturing Company is a proud member of the U.S. Green Building Council. We are well aware that the trend in the construction industry is to “Go Green”. We strive to be the green steel fabricator of choice. When bidding a project attempting to be LEED Certified, we want you to think of Endres as a partner who understands what is required of us and what we can do to help get the points needed to reach your certification level.
Steel is the ultimate green building material. Steel is the most recycled material on the planet, it’s energy-efficient, and it’s cost-effective over the life of the product. At Endres we have made a commitment to the environment and have made improvements within our own shop to reduce energy use and waste.
Roughly 90 percent of our products are produced in mills within 500 miles of our facility and your project. Due to the large percentage of “Scrap/Recycled Steel” in our products, generally the raw material source is close to our mills. Specific product information may be attained from our representatives.
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a non-profit organization committed to expanding sustainable building practices. USGBC is composed of more than 15,000 organizations from across the building industry that are working to advance structures that are environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places to live and work.
