The EMC Foundation
was established to provide financial support to local organizations
and non-profits that would make Dane County a better place to live,
work, and play. The emphasis of the Foundation is threefold:
First, to
help people in the community meet their basic needs in such
programs as food pantries and shelter programs, family support
systems and quality of life activities.
Second, we
seek to improve the educational and environmental resources in
the community such as schools, libraries, literacy projects,
scholarships, natural resource protection, parks, and historic
preservation.
Finally, the
Foundation will support that arts and the impact they have to
touch people’s hearts and souls, emphasizing greater access to
the performing arts for all members of the
community to such things as concerts, plays, art shows, dance
recitals, and museum exhibits.
