It’s a proven fact that when you
give, it makes you feel good, and when you are feeling good, you
tend to be healthier. People who give are generally more outward
and caring, so they benefit from social interaction and the
reward of being appreciated. It’s a win-win situation.
At Endres Manufacturing Company our
mission states that doing good in the community and making our
world a better place is a part of who we are and what we do.
Through our involvement in community activities and work with
the
EMC Foundation, we are continually giving back to the
people who help us succeed.
An example of this mission is the
Endres Manufacturing matching donation program which gave
away over $14,500 in 2009. Twenty-one employees took advantage
of this opportunity to help a cause of their choice. Thirty-six
non-profit agencies received a donation.
Community Activities & Sponsorships:
Wauktoberfest,
Waunakee's annual Oktoberfest is held on the grounds at Endres
Manufacturing. It is fun for the whole family! Food, games,
crafts, music and more! Events include: Beer Keg Races, Food
Eating Contests, Frau Carry, Dachshund Dash, Pumpkin Decorating,
Kids Biathlon, Card Tournaments, and the Waunakee Community
Band. On both days food and beer stands featuring Oktoberfest
beers are available and polka music. Proceeds go to the
Waunakee Community
Foundation.
In a year with not enough work to
keep our employees busy, Endres Mfg. made the decision to send
employees to do volunteer work rather than any further layoffs.
In total Endres has donated nearly $20,000 worth of labor and
material in 2009.
Endres Manufacturing is a proud
sponsor of the
UW Steel Bridge Team. The team comes in for a week
each year to work with one of our professional welders to help
manufacture their bridge components. They consistently finish as
one of the top teams in the country.
Endres is also a yearly contributor
to the annual fund raising dinner for
Hospice Care,
Porchlight,
Catholic
Charities, Edgewood
High School,
St. John's School, and sponsors a team every year for the
Waunakee Relay For Life in June.
